Welcome to my website.

This site is intended as an introduction to me and to osteopathy. The Patients section is primarily for use by my clients and colleagues. Others are welcome to browse, but do so on the condition that they agree not to use any of the material contained therein without first consulting me directly. This is for their own safety; wrongly applied exercise can be damaging. The information contained herein should be used only as a supplement to advice given during consultations. The exercise pages are designed to act as reminders to help complete exercises prescribed during treatment. The exercises shown were designed based upon
knowledge I have collected from different movement disciplines including yoga, pilates and other sports. I am not a qualified instructor of any of those  practises, but have combined my gathered knowledge of these disciplines with my detailed understanding of anatomy and physiology to put together these exercises.  They are a collection that I feel suitably compliments my treatments in order that patients have the best opportunity for recovery and maintenance of good health. Unless otherwise stated, all information included is of my own composition, drawn from the professional experience I have gained.

What is Osteopathy?

(Wikipedia) Osteopathy is an approach to healthcare that emphasizes the role of the musculoskeletal system in health and disease. It is a form of complementary medicine, emphasizing a holistic approach and the skilled use of a range of manual and physical treatment interventions in the prevention and treatment of disease. In practice, this most commonly relates to musculoskeletal problems such as back and neck pain. Osteopathic principles teach that treatment of the musculoskeletal system (bones, muscles and joints) facilitates the recuperative powers of the body.
